Privacy Policy — BabbleLog
Last updated: May 2026
Who we are
BabbleLog is a family memory app that helps parents capture their children’s quotes,
milestones, and growth. It is developed independently. You can reach
us at babblelog.info@gmail.com.
What data BabbleLog collects
When you use BabbleLog, you may enter the following information:
BabbleLog does not collect this data. All of the above is entered by you, stored on
your device, and optionally backed up to your personal cloud account (iCloud on iOS,
Google Drive on Android). We never see it, never receive it, and have no access to it.
How your data is stored
On your device. All data is stored locally in the app’s private storage on your phone
using an encrypted local database (Hive). It does not leave your device unless you
choose to back it up.
In your personal cloud. If you enable backup, your data is uploaded to your own iCloud
account (iOS) or your own Google Drive account (Android). This is your account —
governed by Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy — not ours. We do not have access to
your cloud storage.
We operate no servers. BabbleLog has no backend, no user accounts, and no cloud
infrastructure of our own. There is no way for us to access your data.
What we do NOT do
Children’s privacy (COPPA)
BabbleLog is designed for use by parents, not by children. Parents enter their
children’s information on their own behalf. We do not knowingly collect any personal
information directly from children under the age of 13. Because all data remains on
your device and in your personal cloud account, parents retain full control at all
times.
In-App Purchases
BabbleLog offers a one-time Premium upgrade processed entirely through Apple’s App
Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. All purchase transactions
are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Your rights
Because we store no data on our servers, we have no personal data to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. To delete all your BabbleLog data, simply delete the app from your device. To remove your backup, delete the backup file from your iCloud Drive or Google Drive.
If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under GDPR including the
right to access and erasure. Since all data is under your direct control on your own
device and cloud account, you can exercise these rights yourself at any time.
Data security
Your data is stored in the app’s private sandboxed storage on your device, inaccessible to other apps. Cloud backups are protected by your Apple or Google account credentials and their respective security measures.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
